Birthday

I usually never write anything on birthdays or special days.

It gets too clichéd. But in the spirit of appreciating clichés for a change, this birthday blog is dedicated to turning 27.

This past year has been one of the most interesting year of my life so far. I have grown and changed so much as a person.

I switched back from cotton pants to jeans again. While cotton pants were more comfortable, jeans make me feel less 'hopeless’.

And this birthday month I gifted myself Tennis lessons. A friend suggested it and said she’d play with me once I learn. So some push to be credited over there.

I learnt to be more grateful in the past year. I learnt the value of being thankful for everything. Friends, family, my job and life as a whole.

I feel I should write more to describe how amazing this past year has been. But that is too short a time to measure life and speak about 'growth' in me. Growth is constant and sometimes it happens overnight and sometimes it takes forever. Most of it we are all a work in progress and so am I. So why simply stop and take such a short frame to analyse how well I’m doing on the graph, when I can simply ensure I do a lot each day and finally get the bigger picture as I want it to be.

I may be completely incoherent. But, that is because it is way past my bedtime (12:25am) and my body is waiting to enter REM sleep. ☺

Good night world.
